How to take care of sick pigeon at home?

I found a pigeon today that has a broken wing. no lacerations. weak because he didnt efen fight me or bite me when I picked hum up. I had a cage donated to me and put broken crackers and water in cage. Covfered the cage at night as I see people do that w their pets. Im worried what do I do
