Is it an illness caused from injury?

about four weeks ago i had surgery on my right hand after an accidental laceration to my wrist. yesterday and today ive been experiencing fever, nausea, vomiting (once after gargling salt water), headaches, body aches, and a sore throat. could these in any way be related to my injury? could it be a sign of infection to my injury? ive also been in contact with people who have had infectious illnesses.
